New York fashion week has been in full flow with throngs of models and designers hitting the catwalk with their latest Fall collection. There were many exciting and extraordinary outfits on display but here is a selection of items that I think will be seen on the street by the Fall.
Zac Posen’s use of sultry silk skirts mixed with furry jackets or edgy leather stood out as a way of remaining nice and warm yet beautifully feminine during those winters months.
Vitoria Beckham continues to cement her status as a top designer with her latest collection. Her focus on chunky knits paired with figure hugging skirts and dresses showed her collection to not only understand the beautiful female form but to be something that is actually wearable. Her muted palette was perfect for the winter months making it a shame we have to wait until later in the year to get our mitts on these perfect outfits.
Pastel colours and winter whites continued to dominate and Tibi’s latest collection was no exception which once again saw the mixture of heavy knitwear matched with sultry skirts. This collection shows how to make that tricky transition from Autumn to Winter with their use of flowing cropped trousers.
Based on this week’s collections I think every fashionista come Fall will have in their wardrobe a chunky knit, a silk skirt and some killer cropped trousers so start investing!
