Droog will reveal their latest wallpaper collection this fall that is truly something quite different. Using inspiration from classic, Dutch works of art their graphic designs have produced wallpaper that will transform your whole wall in to one gigantic piece of art.
By deconstructing famous pieces of art, such as Vermeer’s “The Milkmaid”, their designers have broken down the colour scheme and pieced it back together in a modern style to create stylish, contemporary pieces that echo the essence of the great painting but in a stripped format.
My personal favourite is their take in “Still Life with Flowers” by Coenraet Roepel in 1721. This classic oil painting has been transformed into a huge bouquets of flowers that cover the walls even better than the original painting was able to do. Beautiful!
